We’re building new, bigger, and faster, and seeking additional skills and expertise to design, build and optimize best-in-class technology for industrial-scale carbon management. The Mechanical Engineer will:
Use existing expertise in carbon capture, removal and storage, industrial design, and product prototyping to contribute to the research, development, build, and productization of Vycarb’s technology
Work with Vycarb’s engineering and data teams to validate and iterate on designs for the company’s growing carbon management technology portfolio
Work with Vycarb’s engineering team to deliver a customer-ready carbon management products at new locations, s, potentially traveling to locations across the US and abroad to oversee production, visit sites, or build and test components
Work with Vycarb’s commercial team and Head of Product to iterate on existing designs and meet customer specifications for Vycarb’s technology, including integration into existing industrial facilities

You have real-world experience and high proficiency in core skills like soldering, welding, gas fittings, 3D design, analysis and simulation, etc. You are – at your core – a builder.
You have experience working with gas streams and/or water systems in an industry like carbon removal and storage, mining, oil and gas, or marine engineering.
You are able to work across a number of engineering disciplines including CAD, electrical engineering, embedded firmware and control systems, mechanical engineering and industrial engineering, synthesizing these perspectives to design and deliver carbon products.

Mechanical Engineer

As Vycarb pursues ambitious and significant commercialization objectives in a rapidly evolving, nuanced and variable carbon industry, we are seeking a Head of Carbon with experience across carbon market incentives, mechanisms, and policies to lead our commercialization efforts. The Head of Carbon will navigate a constantly changing regulatory and financial environment to execute on complex, multi-party commercial agreements and further solidify our path to enabling global-scale climate solutions.. Specifically, the Head of Carbon will:Manage Vycarb’s carbon products from start to finish – taking a holistic view incorporating regulatory landscapes, market opportunities, legal restrictions, customer feedback, and finances to develop and execute on a strategy to maximize and access carbon market sales and revenue.
Secure further carbon removal offtakes for Vycarb
Work with appropriate accreditation and value chain partners to execute on revenue-generating carbon sequestration transactions
Work with Vycarb’s executive team to secure pilot and development agreements with Vycarb’s commercial partners
Develop a comprehensive carbon strategy for Vycarb, built on a deep understanding of specific carbon storage products and geared towards positioning Vycarb for long-term growth, profitability, and compliance
Keep Vycarb’s executive team, board, and high-profile customers abreast of developments in carbon markets and relevant policy landscape with detailed and informed research and customer and regulatory relationship management
Build and manage Vycarb’s carbon team, taking responsibility for team deliverables and professional development

Experienced in carbon transactions, policies, and financing in domestic and international landscapes, with > 5 years experience in a relevant role and industry
An outstanding communicator (verbal and written; colloquial and technical). You can use these skills to succinctly convey Vycarb’s values to a range of carbon stakeholders for market-relevant outcomes including commercial agreements, financial assets, and legal decisions.
You possess excellent analytical ability allowing them to interpret both quantitative and qualitative documents communicating a range of financial and legal information.

Head of Carbon

As we scale up our product for industrial-scale applications, we are seeking a Head of Product with expertise in industrial design and automation, industrial process engineering, and process efficiency to support our product development and implementation. The Head of Product will:
Manage Vycarb’s technical activities to demonstrate key product specifications and performance metrics for target applications, and work directly with customers to understand and deliver on their needs
Work with Vycarb’s commercial and executive teams to advance product development and credit delivery. The HoP will be expected to
Lead the design, construction, and installation of Vycarb’s first commercial carbon management system outside of New York City
Guide research, development and building activities to integrate Vycarb systems with existing industrial plants and operations
Refine and oversee Vycarb’s product development plans, charting a clear path to capture and store millions of tonnes of CO2 with strategies and systems that consistently meet or exceed deadlines

Able to guide from direct experience in relevant industries (>5 years) on what is required to design, build, install, implement, and operate large-scale industrial equipment.
Posses hands-on skills needed to design, solder, weld, build, and manufacture for prototyping and testing, and can manage complex systems for industrial scale deployment and automation, and associated inputs and outputs.
Possess EPC, supply chain, manufacturing, and operational expertise that enables you to design for practical implementation at commercial scale and work alongside critical industry partners involved in that process.
